September 10, 1952 ~ October 15, 2018

Memorial Service celebrating the life of Robert "BJ" Logsdon, 66, of Enid, is 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Willow Lamunyon officiating. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Robert was born September 10, 1952, in Guthrie, to James and Beatrice (McVay) Logsdon and passed away October 15, 2018, in Enid.

Robert graduated from high school in 1970. As a teenager, he worked for years on surrounding farms around Marshall, Oklahoma. Robert then served in the United States Navy.

On January 4, 1975, he married Dona Aline Elliott, and they had a son, Jarad.

On May 7, 1983, Robert married Diane Carol Long, and they had four children, James, Tucker, Sarah, and Taylor.

In 2008, he married Rebecca Johnson and they made their home in Enid.

He worked as a corrections officer at James Crabtree Correctional Center, Helena; deputy sheriff; respiratory therapist; an EMT; in the oilfield; and a bouncer at Scooters.

In 1990, Robert was awarded the Oklahoma D.O.C. Courage and Valor Award for saving an inmate's life. He was always bringing home stray dogs and cats, and he would always help any person in need.

Robert was preceded in death by both of his parents, and daughter, Sarah.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Logsdon; children, Jarad Logsdon (Heidi), James Logsdon, Tucker Logsdon (Alicia), Taylor Fussell (Kyle) and Mariah Glaser; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to SPCA or FURever Friends, through the funeral home.
