Lee W. Lines

December 25, 1920 ~ October 4, 1993

Beeville, Texas - Lee W. Lines, 72, died October 4, 1993, at a San Antonio hospital following a long illness. Rosary was recited at Angelus Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial was in Beeville Memorial Park.

Lines was born December 25, 1920, to William Riley and Carrie Ethel McCord Lines. He grew up in Cherokee and graduated from Cherokee High School. He joined the U.S. Navy and retired as a chief warrant officer after 24 years of service. He married Evelyn Castle August 9, 1946.

After his retirement from the Navy, he worked as a carpenter for the Bee Community Action Agency, improving and remodeling homes for the elderly and the low � income families. He was a member of Lions Club, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He married Linda Simonson on May 20, 1983.

Survivors include his wife of Beeville; a daughter, Brenda Shanks of Waynoka; a son, Randy of Lyon, Kansas; two stepchildren, Charles and Katie Simonson of Beeville, Texas; a sister, Lena Fuller of Topeka, Kansas; two brothers, W.R. Of Guymon and David of Topeka, Kansas; eight grandchildren and a great grand son.
