A memorial service for Lou Alma Leverett will be held at the Thackerville Church of Christ on Saturday, November 21 at 2 p.m.
Born December 16, 1939 at Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of R.L. and Burnie Chambers, she passed from this life to her everlasting life on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Brush, Colorado.
She lived most of her life in Thackerville before moving to Ardmore in 1986. She worked as a rural mail carrier in Ardmore, carrying Route 3 until she retired.
Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Leverett, and her parents.
Survivors include a son, Steven Leverett of Springer; daughter, Kelley Pettie of Brush; granddaughters, Katelyn and Meghan Harvey and Brooklyn Pettie, all of Kingston, Beth Leverett of Springer, and Ashlee and Sarah Leverett of Spring, Texas; great-grandson, Braxton Gardner of Kingston; sister, Marianne Ralston and husband Johnny of Gainesville; and brother-in-law, Jack Leverettt and wife Carol of Woodbine, Texas.
This obituary included a photo of Mrs. Leverett.
