Jeanie Maxine (Ashley) Leverett
May 13, 1948 ~ July 29, 2019 (age 71)

Jeanie Maxine Leverett was born May 13, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Martha (Thompson) Ashley and Hoover Neal Ashley. She passed away July 29, 2019 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 16 days.

Jeanie grew up in Sayre, Oklahoma and attended Merritt High School. She was married at the age of 16 to Wesley Ray Leverett on November 29, 1964. After their marriage they moved to Texas, California, Washington and Arizona before settling in the Elk City and Sayre area in the early 70's where they raised their children. Jeanie was a homemaker and always considered her family as her greatest accomplishment. Later in life that expanded to her grandchildren and great grandchildren which she was always so proud of. She also enjoyed chasing after her grandchildren, sewing and taking care of her chickens.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dereecia Horton, Barbara Mills, Glinda Shafer and Janet Burkett and one brother, Parker Ashley.

She is survived by her husband, Ray, of the home; 2 sons, Clayton Leverett and wife, Kelli, Weatherford, OK and Wesley Leverett and wife, Gina, McIntosh; 10 grandchildren, Shawn, Autumn, Cody, Jeremy, Naomi, Anna, Becca, Christian, Matthew and Christopher; 17 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Linda Burkett, Fannie Burkett and Patricia Kultgen, all of Washington state.

Services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019, 2:00 PM at Rose Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com.
