Ursula June Lester was born on July 6, 1914, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Eva Aiken. She died October 16, 2005, in Chickasha, at the age of 91.

June was born and raised in the Chicago area, and resided there until May 2001, when she moved to Chickasha.

She married Earl E. Lester in March of 1936. They were blessed with three daughters: Dorothy, Virginia, and Mary.

June was a lifelong, faithful Christian Scientist and attended Association meetings with her dear friend Gwen Brooks and weekly Bible studies with her son-in-law, Jim Cox.

She was an artistic person. She attended classes at Chicago's Art Institute, sang in an Opera production at the Victoria Theater, enjoyed crochet and other handwork. She collected dolls, she had over one hundres in her collection, many with handmade clothing. She loved traveling and kept her passport current just in case an opportunity arose.

June was a generous person who opened her home to family members, foreign exchange students, college students, and long time coworker, Marie Hupp.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband; and daughter, Mary Norgaard.

She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Lilley, of Crystal Lake, Illinois; daughters: Dorothy Lester, of Bloomingdale, Illinois, Virginia Osterloh Cox and husband James, of Chickasha; grandchildren: Cheryl Miles, of St. Joseph, Michigan, Jack Osterloh, of South Dakota, David Osterloh, of Elk City, Oklahoma, Travis Norgaard, of Phoenix, Arizona, Jerry Osterloh, of Temecula, California, and Lisa Norgaard Hawthorne, of Ft. Collins, Colorado; and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.

Private interment will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, in the Union Ridge Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
