Betty "Lou" (Mooney) Lemon
March 28, 1934 ~ December 28, 2019

Betty "Lou" Lemon passed away in the arms of God at the age of 85 on December 28, 2019 at her home in Calera, Oklahoma. Betty was born March 28, 1934 in Gadsden, Alabama to John and Glennie "Thelma" Mooney. She married "Bob" G. Lemon on June 12, 1980.

She worked as a Dental Assistant for 12 years and Management with Hartz Chicken for 14 years in Houston, Texas. She retired and moved to Colbert, Oklahoma in 1991 and opened a restaurant " Betty Lou's Family Restaurant" in Colbert. She became more active in Colbert United Methodist Church. Betty "Lou" enjoyed giving of herself, volunteering, cooking, traveling, people and animals. She loved Jesus and Life. Rest in peace and know that you are loved and missed.

She is survived by her Children Debbye Miller and husband Patrick, Ernest T. Lucas, Jr. Patti L. Daugherty and Dennis Lemon. Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren also survive.

The Celebration of Life for Betty "Lou" Lemon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 11, 2020 at Colbert United Methodist Church with Pastor Karen Slater officiating.
