Kimberly Kathryn Lee-Westfall

Sept. 9, 1967 ~ Dec. 25, 2014

Kimberly “Kimber” Kathryn Lee-Westfall, 47, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Main & Oklahoma Church of Christ in McAlester. Arrangements are under the direction of Affordable Cremations of Oklahoma City with local services entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service.

Kimber was born Sept. 9, 1967, at St. Mary’s Hospital in McAlester. She attended Frink-Chambers School and Edmond Doyle as a child and Parker and McAlester High School. She graduated in 2006 with a masters degree in counseling from East Central University.

She was baptized at Frink-Chambers Church and did missionary work as a child, going to Kansas with the church.

She was a girl scout leader and a basketball coach, as well as other accomplishments. She was president of OEA at East Central, organized the march and prayer vigil for the Murry Building bombing victims and was a child advocate in her position with the Beare Foundation.

Survivors include two daughters: Jennifer Diann Kitchens and son-in-law, Austin Kitchens, and Megan Rae-Lee Westfall, all of McAlester; three grandchildren: McKenna Snow Westfall, Aiden Wayne Kitchens, and Madelyn Kate Kitchens; her mother: Lana Diane Fryer-Lee of McAlester; her father: Elmer Ray Lee of Buffalo, Texas. Also, a brother: Shawn Jefferson Lee and wife, Dawn Michelle Lee of Nanchang, China; a sister: Michelle and husband, John Reynolds of Texas; a nephew: Thomas James Sang Lee of Nanchang, China; a niece: Lily Reynolds of Texas; grandmothers: Johnie Snow Lee and Marie Fryer, both of McAlester; the father of her children: Brian Westfall, and numerous cousins and second cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Thomas Jefferson “Bill” Fryer and Charles Robert Lee, both of McAlester.
