Evelyn Marie (Lock) Lee

June 2, 1932 ~ Feb. 21, 2007

Evelyn Marie Lee, 74, of Oklahoma City, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007 at her home.

Evelyn was born on June 2, 1932 in Fredonia, Kan. She was the older of two children born to Matthew Lock and Ada Vanda Sophia Haltia Lock. She grew up in Henryetta, Okla. and graduated from St. Michael Catholic School there.

She married Johnny Logan Gorham. Together they had three children; two were infants that preceded her in death.

She lived in Oklahoma City most of her life and had worked at various jobs. She first began working for a phone company then she worked many years as a cashier for Eckard Drug. She was currently working at the I-240 Wal-Mart where she worked as a greeter.

For her enjoyment she loved to play bingo and travel to Las Vegas annually. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by her grandchildren who she loved to spend time with and spoil.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant children.

She is survived by her son, Logan Gorham and wife Kelli of Tuttle, Okla.; two grandchildren, Ashley and Ty Gorham; her brother, Danny Locke and wife Karen of Henryetta, Okla.; and a host of friends.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Newcastle. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
