David Anthony Lee

David Anthony Lee
November 22, 1959 ~ November 10, 2025

Earlsboro resident, David Anthony Lee, 65, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, in Shawnee. David, the son of Tony and Ruth (Nixon) Lee, was born November 22, 1959, in Oklahoma City. Beginning his life in Oklahoma City, his family relocated to the Shawnee area. He attended junior high school at Strother Schools, then transferred to Shawnee High School, where he graduated with the class of 1978.

David proudly served in the U.S. Army.

After high school, David went to Wright Business School in Kansas City, Mo., where he studied accounting. He remained in Kansas City for several years and worked for various companies doing accounting work for them. He loved helicopters, even spending time working on Huey's when he was in the military and he was fascinated by eagles.

On October 27, 1990, David married Shauna Johnston at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church, they had just celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. David was a member of Highway Baptist Church in Seminole, he was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and he enjoyed working on computers. David loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed his daily devotionals and prayer with his wife and daughter. He lived Proverbs 17:22 as he loved to laugh and make others laugh. David's desire was for everyone to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruth Lee; a sister, Jaequelyn; and by his grandparents.

David is survived by his wife, Shauna, of the home; a daughter, Tara Lee, of Earlsboro; two sisters, Linda Bowers, of Yukon, and Tricia Lee, of Earlsboro; along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled on David's birthday, November 22, 2025, at 11 a.m.. at Highway Baptist Church in Seminole with Carl Whitfield officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
