Betty Sue (Nottingham) Layne, a Lehigh resident, was born on October 23, 1952, to Jessie James and Betty Gean (Cornett) Nottingham, at Odessa, TX. Betty passed away on March 5, 2022 at Lehigh, OK at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 10 days.

She graduated from Happy Camp, California, High School. Betty was a registered nurse. She served in the United States Air Force as a technician. Betty married George Richard Channon. She enjoyed knitting, reading, watching TV and cooking.

Husband: George Richard Channon of the home in Lehigh, OK
Daughters: Violet Brown and husband Eric of Hayfork, CA Richard Bobby Polen of Clifton, CA
Sons: Jody Rogers of Blanchard, LA Greg Rogers of Blanchard, LA
Sisters: Charlotte Arndt of Twin Fall, ID Lasaundra Nottingham of Atlanta, TX
Brothers: Anthony Nottingham of Atlanta, TX Calvin Nottingham of Linden, TX
Grandchildren: Charles, Richard, Ophelia, Billy, Candace, Hallie, Sara and Jacob
Large extended family including great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
