Alta Eunice (Mitchell) Lawson

May 16, 1919 ~ February 13, 2008

Alta E. Lawson was born on May 16, 1919 in Trousdale, Okla. To Oma F. and Vallie Young Mitchell.

She married Emmit Glass in April 1939 and had two children, Ronald Glass and Maudena Glass Fisher. Emmit died in a truck accident Aug. 1946.

She married Green B. Lawson in Aug. 1950. He preceded her in death in Jan 1999.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Olan Mitchell and sister Laura Simmons.

She is survived by her son and daughter; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six sister-in-laws; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She attended Owen Memorial Church from 1953 to the time that it became the Word Aflame Church. She was a dedicated church goer until she was no longer able to drive. She enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for the family. She also enjoyed walking at the mall. She enjoyed vacationing in Arkansas and South Dakota.
