Janice (Matlock) Laughlin

Janice (Matlock) Laughlin
August 9, 1937 ~ April 9, 2020

EDMOND, Okla. - Janice was welcomed into heaven at 3:20 a.m. on April 9, 2020, at Integris Hospice House, Oklahoma City, at the age of 82.

Janice was born to LaRoi and Ruby Matlock in Electra, TX. She was raised in Carlsbad, N.M., and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1957.

She attended Bethany Nazarene College, now Southern Nazarene University, where she met Albert Laughlin. They were married on October 31, 1958, and celebrated 61 years of marriage.

She worked at GHR Manufacturing and Enid ISD until her retirement. Janice was a member of Enid First Church of the Nazarene.

Janice is survived by two sons, Ronald Laughlin and wife, Janna, of Carlsbad, N.M., and Mike Laughlin and wife, Karen, of Edmond, OK; daughter, Pam Pennington and husband, Steve, of Waxahachie, TX; four grandsons, Cory, Josh, Jeremy, and Alex Laughlin; three granddaughters, Crystal Willett, Audra Laughlin, and Kendra Pennington; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Dwayne Matlock.

Janice's memorial and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City in memory of Teresa Janice Laughlin.
