Helen Josephine Laster

Feb. 2, 1920 ~ March 23, 2002

Helen Josephine Laster, 82, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 23, 2002.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Paul Sneed officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mrs. Laster was born Feb. 2, 1920, in Hollis, Okla. She married William Leon Laster on Feb. 14, 1943, in Amarillo. She graduated from Ron High School in Ron, Okla., and attended college in Weatherford, Okla. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990.

Survivors include four sons, Bill Laster and Steve Laster, both of Amarillo, Joe Laster of Granbury and John Laster of Westminster, Colo.; a daughter, Nancy Laster of San Marcos; two brothers, Dude Upton of Pampa and Jesse Upton of Bartlesville, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Ryan Laster of Kuwait, Kathy Laster and Kelly Laster, both of Clarksville, Tenn., and Stacey Laster of San Marcos.
