Mary Ann (McCullough) Lasseter
April 12, 1962 ~ January 23, 2025

Mary Ann Lasseter of Durant, Oklahoma entered into heavenly eternal life Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the age of 62. Mary Ann was born Thursday, April 12, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to Yvonne and John McCullough. She married Frankie Wayne Gaither in Dallas, Texas, on February 5, 1979. They made their home in Durant, Oklahoma raising three beautiful daughters until his death in 2002.

Mary Ann was full of joy, always smiling. She deeply treasured her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed staying up late at night watching episodes of Gunsmoke and playing on TikTok. Mary Ann loved a cold Dr. Pepper and defeating Kris and Steve at a game of pool or Jenga.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Frankie Wayne Gaither, daughter Sandy Joe Gaither, her parents John and Yvonne McCullough, and brother Johnny McCullough. She is survived by her daughters: Kris Gaither of Durant, Oklahoma and Teresa Gaither of Athens, Texas. Grandsons: Tyler Hendley of Durant, Oklahoma and John Smith and wife Jasmine of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Granddaughters: Lea Ann Russom of Durant, Oklahoma and Holly Hendley of Durant, Oklahoma. Great-granddaughter Starr Jo Smith of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Special friend Steve “Homer” Dusold of Lewisville, Texas. Brothers: David Burke of Kaufman, Texas; Daniel McCullough of Durant, Oklahoma; Mark McCullough of Durant, Oklahoma. Sister Ruth Hicks of Armstrong, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at a time and location yet to be determined.
