Freddie Wayne Lasota

Freddie Wayne Lasota
June 11, 1950 ~ August 02, 2019

Freddie was born in OKC to Rosetta and Felix Lasota on June 11, 1950. He has one sister Carolyn and two nieces – Marla (Steve) and her children Haylee, Marlie and Chance and niece Lori (Scott) and their children Sydni and Sadie.

He graduated from Classen High School and then went to OSU and graduated with a BS in Computer Science. He embraced the “cowboy” lifestyle at OSU, sporting cowboy hat and boots. One story was told by his cousin Diane about a trip to Carl Blackwell Lake, while going to OSU, with him in swim trunks and cowboy boots. He was “cool”.

Freddie worked at Wilson’s, then went on to work for Jernigan Oil Company and other oil companies, before starting Lasota Computer Consultants around 1985.

Freddie married Melinda in 1988 and they were married 30 years until his death they had met as office aids at Classen High School where they had one date and were friends, then 20 years later he walked into her place of employment and into her life.

He had one daughter Danya (J.) and grandchildren Kaylie and Rylie, and two step children. Tiffany (Jon) and grandchildren Caleb and Bella, and Brenton (Jamie) and grandchildren Haleigh and Hannah.

Freddie also at one time had his real estate license and another time had his insurance license. He also started Mold Check and with son Brenton did that for a while. For the last 10 years before retirement he worked for Obsolete Parts (one of his former clients), after his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease.

Freddie and Melinda enjoyed doing things together and had many wonderful vacations with family, grandson Caleb and sister Carolyn. Then often times with good friends Gerry and Sandy.

The last 2 years they went on wonderful trips to Biloxi, New Orleans, and plantation tours with daughter Tiffany and grandchild Bella. Then last year they went back and met up with rest of family. Daughter Tiffany made it possible for us to go on these last 2 trips together. They are very special times and cherished memories.

Freddie was easy going and “chill” and very much loved by his wife Melinda and all the family. He will be greatly missed and leaves a “hole” in everyone’s heart. He battled Parkinson’s Disease bravely and without complaining and is now welcomed into the arms of Our Savior Jesus Christ The Lord.
