P. LANGAN IS DEAD

P. Langan, aged eighty-nine, formerly of this city, died at his home in Atchison, Kansas, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Funeral arrangements hove not been announced, although it is presumed the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon.

The deceased is survived by six children: Mrs. Mary Lee, Atchison, Kansas; Mrs. John Crimmins, Concordia, Kansas; Bernard Langan, Atchison; Owen Langan, Emporia; J. P. Langan, Hobart.

The news of the death was received here this morning by J. P. Langan, who immediately made his arrangements to attend the funeral. He and his little daughter, Katherine, left this afternoon for Atchison.

The deceased was a pioneer of Hobart, having moved here soon after the opening of the country to settlement. About five years ago he moved back to Kansas, where he has since lived with his daughter, Mrs. Lee.

Last winter he had a severe attack of grip which left his system in a weakened condition. Heart trouble ensued.
