Huston Venson Lancaster

1931 ~ June 13, 2006

Huston Lancaster passed away on June 13 at his home, with family by his side. Affectionately nicknamed "Hooky", Huston was born in Atoka, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida May Lancaster; his father, Ernest Lancaster, along with 6 brothers and 1 sister.

In 1936 during the dust bowl era, the Lancaster family moved out to California. At the age of 17 he met the love of his life, Maxine Bruce, and the two were married in 1950, and remained a loving couple for 55 years.

During their marriage, they were blessed with 3 children; Ernest Abel, Vicki Lynn and Freddy Venson.

Huston's professional career was spent as a general contractor and a route salesman for the Carnation Company.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maxine; children, Ernie and wife, Leanna; Daryle and Vicki, Estep and Freddy; grandchildren, Vance Huston, LeahAnn Lynn and Charles Venson.

Huston enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be forever missed and remembered in our hearts forever. Huston had many friends, and we love you all.

The family would like to thank Optimal Hospice Care, and a special thanks to Alice and Lori.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Optimal Hospice Care (661) 716-4000.

As per Huston's wishes, there will be no services.
