Paul Addison Lamar Jr.

August 12, 1940 ~ July 31, 2020

Paul Addison Lamar Jr., 79 of Enid, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, in Enid. He was born August 12, 1940, in Oklahoma City to Paul and Mary Ellen Ford Lamar Sr. He attended OU on a wrestling scholarship and later transferred to Central State University in Edmond where he earned a BS degree in Chemistry.

He married Katherine Kimbrell in 1994 in Enid where they made their home. Paul was a chemist for Farmland Industries. He was also a veteran of the USAF and was in the Air National Guard.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Alice. In addition to his wife Katherine, he is survived by his children; Paul Lamar III, Dwight Lamar, Seth Lamar and his wife Shanna, and Melissa Soderlund and her husband Mel; six grandchildren, Tyler, Griffin, Joshua, Emma, Ava and Benjamin.
