Marian Aline Goucher) Ladwig
September 26, 1932 ~ October 19, 2006

A memorial service for Marian Aline Goucher Ladwig will be held at a later date. She was cremated at her request. Arrangements are by Anderson – Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

She was born September 26, 1932, in Davis to Marion F. and Myrtle I. Pitchford Goucher and died Thursday, October 19, 2006.

She grew up in Lacy and graduated from Lacy high school in 1950. She graduated from Enid Business College in 1956. She married Freddie Ladwig. She was employed at Vance Air Force Base as a Secretary from 1956 to 1980. She transferred to the Pentagon in Washington DC where she was Secretary for Assistant Secretary of Defense for Atomic Energy and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command Control, Communications and Intelligence. She also was secretary to a judge in the Court of Military Appeals. She retired in 1988. She was a medical transcriber in Maryland and Washington, DC, before returning to Oklahoma in July 2000 where she worked at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid until her retirement in 2004.

Surviving are two sons, David Ladwig of Ashburn, Virginia, and James Ladwig of Hennessey; one sister, Anita G. Barrett of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie, one daughter and one brother.
