Mr. Philip Joseph Kropf, 71, of Purcell, Oklahoma, died peacefully in his home in the early morning hours of December 11, 2014. At his passing, Philip was surrounded by his wife, Joyce Ilene Kropf, and his four children, Lisa Ann Kropf Brenner, Elizabeth Elaine Mclaughlin, Karen Sue Meier, and David Joseph Kropf.

Philip was born on April 21, 1943 in High Point, North Carolina, and resided there until 1998, when he relocated to Purcell, Oklahoma to conclude his 25-year career with the United States Postal Service. He was a widower who was preceded in death by his wife and companion of 38 years, Grace Lain Kropf, in 2002. Philip retired in Purcell and married his beloved second wife, Joyce Ilene Kropf.

Philip was a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving for 20 years from 1963 to 1983. Philip achieved the rank of Master Sergeant and was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife and four children, Philip is survived by his brother, Charles Henry Kropf; sons-in-law, Russ Nelson Brenner, Dustin Jay Mclaughlin, Jason Daniel Meier, and T. Michael Smith; daughters-in-law, Shannon Thomas Kropf, and Kathryn Jo Smith; and grandchildren, Jacqueline Elizabeth Kropf, Aaron Joseph Brenner, Nathaniel Patrick Kropf, Alyson Faith Brenner, Rebecca Taylor Meier, Ashlyn Grace Meier, Julia Ryan Mclaughlin, Ryan Daniel Meier, Jacob Burrell Smith, Ella Ann Smith, and Anna Joyce Smith.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Harvest Church, 6450 36th Ave. N.W., Norman, OK, 73072.
