Marilyn Kaye Krieger, age 74, passed away July 29th, 2020.

Marilyn Kaye (Barber) Krieger
November 11, 1945 ~ July 29, 2020

Marilyn Kaye Krieger, age 74, passed away July 29th, 2020. She was born November 11th, 1945 in Corydon, Iowa to Evan and Frances Barber. She married her love, Lester Krieger, November 9th, 1991.

Marilyn was known for her delicious homecooked meals, love for her family, cats, and her feisty personality. Family gatherings, races, and casino bus trips were her favorite things to do. She loved to reminisce on her many years as a home health nurse and impactful years assisting low-income families as a counselor for Mid Iowa Community Action. Marilyn and Lester whole-heartedly finished out their working years owning and operating the Budget Inn Motel in Denison, Iowa from 2000-2005. They fully retired in 2012 when they moved to Oklahoma.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Evan Barber, Frances Barber-Jennings, Wilford Jennings, Brother Ray Gene Barber, Sister Carolyn Hevlin, Grand-daughter Candita Furlin, Great-Grandson Kellis Mason Gregory and her cherished cats Misty and Dori.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Lester Gene Krieger of OK, daughter and husband Cynthia and Dennis Furlin of IA, daughter and husband Jami and Kellis Martin Gregory of OK, daughter Leisa Crouch of IA, daughter and husband Sharon and Danny Risdal of IA, and daughter DeEtta Frampton and fiancé John Hacmeister of IA, Stepson Kevin Krieger of IA, Stepdaughter and husband Kathy and Ed Oglesby of KS, Stepson Adam of WA, 23 grandchildren and spouses, 18 great-grandchildren along with 3 more on the way, and her beloved cat Big Boy.

We welcome family and friends to celebrate Marilyn’s life August 3rd with visitation at Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service in Enid OK 2-4 pm.
