November 27, 1958 ~ July 13, 2021

Memorial Services for Paul Henry Kopf, age 62, of Longdale, will be held at 1 pm, Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Paul Henry Kopf was born November 27, 1958, to Henry H Kopf and Iris D Kopf in San Diego, California. He graduated from Canton High School and went on to complete some college. Paul decided that work was more of his path and began working in the oilfield in the 1980’s. He, oftentimes, would tell stories of his oilfield days as if they were yesterday.

During this time, Paul began constructing his own home. He built his home from the ground to the rafters by hand and primarily alone. This includes the electrical, plumbing, framing, and roofing. Paul was a one-of-a-kind kind of man. He could repair and fix anything from the smallest inconvenience to the largest problem.

Once the oil boom had subsided, Paul went on to work various welding shops. The most prominent being in Fairview, Oklahoma. Sometime, in the early 2000’s, Paul met the love of his life, Becki. She gave him the run around and avoided going on a date with him for the longest time, but he didn’t give up. One day she finally said ‘Yes”.

On May 4, 2002, Paul and Becki were united in marriage. Not only did he gain a wife that day, but he also gained 3 step children that would give him a run for his money. Sometime later, Paul began working for Oklahoma Department of Transportation. This job is the one in which he would retire. Prior to retirement, however, Paul was blessed with 4 grandchildren. Upon retirement, Paul enjoyed the life of leisure and spent most of his time mowing his land and watching political channels on the television. If you knew Paul, you know the arguments he would have with the newscasters about politics.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived in death by his wife: Becki Kopf of Longdale; his 3 step children and spouses Nicholas and Olivia Holdeman of Ames, OK; Kevin and Kristen Holdeman of Piedmont, OK; and Alishia Jamison of Enid, OK, 4 grandchildren: Jayson Boehm, Rhyan Holdeman, Cooper Jamison, and Anna Holdeman; His brother Wendell and wife Golda of Pearland, TX, and Sister Kathy of Longdale, OK.
