April 10, 1960 ~ September 28, 2019

Memorial services for Raymond Andrew Knabe will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Alva. It was his wish to be cremated.

Raymond Andrew Knabe, son of the late Buckley Duane and Bonnie Jean (Whisman) Knabe, was born April 10, 1960, at Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away September 28, 2019, at his home in Cherokee, Oklahoma, at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 18 days.

Raymond graduated from Alva High School and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University. On December 15, 1995, he was united in marriage to Robin Rochele Hurst at Clovis, New Mexico. He worked most of his life as a very talented bricklayer. He moved to Cherokee in 2008, and later worked as a truck driver.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Elks, the Moose, and was past president of Jaycees. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and was a very talented singer, often posting his songs on Facebook and singing Karaoke whenever he could.

Raymond is survived by his son, Dakota Knabe and his girlfriend, Taylor Barr, of Alva; four step-sons, Joe Cox of Kingfisher, Billy Cox of Georgia, Micheal Cox of Edmond, and Clay Cox of Hennessey; Jacob Sharp who he raised as his own son; three sisters, Duania (D') Major of Alva, Lola Bradford and husband, Boyd, of Waynoka, and Pam Lyon and husband, Greg, of Enid; two nieces; four nephews, three great nieces, and five great nephews for whom he always took a great interest; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Dakota Knabe through Marshall funeral home to help defray the cost of the final expanses.
