Betty Jean (Medlen) Klutts
August 17, 1928 ~ June 12, 2016

A Memorial Service for Betty Jean Klutts, age 87, will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Waukomis First United Methodist Church. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Betty was born to Walter and Ethel (West) Medlen on August 17, 1928, in Copan, Oklahoma, and passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016, in Enid.

Betty grew up in Copan and graduated from Copan High School. On March 22, 1947, she married William 'Bill" Klutts, Sr. in Sedan, Kansas, and they made their home in Copan. Betty worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone until her retirement. They retired to Spring Branch, Texas, and Betty later moved to Enid. She was a member of Waukomis United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed gardening and was very artistic.

Betty is survived by her children: "Gene" Klutts, and wife D.J. of Dublin, Texas, and Karen Klutts Vanover of Waukomis; two grandchildren: Tyler Vanover and wife Rose, and Taylor Vanover and wife Carrie, all of Enid; and five great grandchildren, Tige, Taelyn and Ty Thomas Vanover, Elise and Eli Vanover.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, brother Ralph Medlen, and two sisters, Margie Lusk and Mart Lowry.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waukomis United Methodist Church
