Kelly Alois Klinger

August 9, 1946 ~ December 31, 2010

Memorial Mass for Kelly Alois Klinger, an Atoka area resident, was held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Coalgate Catholic Church with Father Higgins officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Atoka.

Kelley was born August 9, 1946 to Alois Frank and Florence Ernestine (Heath) Klinger at Clinton, OK and passed away December 31, 2010 at Atoka, OK at the age of 64. He graduated from Midwest City School and then he went on to play football for the Southwestern University in Weatherford, OK. Kelley married Peggy Ann (Hebert) on June 17, 1967 at the St. Peters Catholic Church in New Iberia, LA. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy (Hebert) Klinger of the home in Atoka; children, Dawn M. Klinger Stephens and husband Marshall of Lincoln, NE, Shelley C. Klinger of Moore, OK, Katie E. Klinger of Baton Rouge, LA and Max H. Klinger and wife Darlene K. of Monrovia, CA; grandchildren, Alexander Kelley Klinger of Moore, OK, Ellen C. Stephens of Lincoln, NE, Graham L. Stephens of Lincoln, NE; twin brother, James H. Klinger of Coalgate; other siblings, Clifford E. Klinger and wife JoEllen of Zwolle, LA, Patricia A. Boody of Tulsa, OK and Mary K. Klinger of Coalgate; nephews and nieces, Jared H. Klinger of Coalgate, Elizabeth A. Boody of Washington D.C.,Pal M. Boody of Yokohoma, Japan and Catherine E. Klinger of Midland, TX; along with many other dear and loved relatives from southern Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Casketbearers were Max Klinger, Marshall Stephens, Darren Harden, Paul Boody, Jared Klinger, Alfred Buteaux, C. C. Tate, Clifford Klinger, James Klinger. Honorary bearer was Lane Yeager.
