Thelma Christine (Cowan) Kitchen
January 16, 1927 ~ July 22, 2019

A private family Celebration of Life service for Thelma Christine Kitchen will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Thelma was born on January 16, 1927 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Homer and Clara (McGill) Cowan and passed away on July 22, 2019 in Enid.

Thelma grew up in Shawnee Oklahoma. She married Kenneth Harland Moats and they had two sons, Johnny Mac and Kenneth Allen Moats. Thelma was one of the first instructors at Enid Beauty College. Thelma and Kenneth later divorced. She married G. R. Kitchen. They enjoyed playing cards, traveling and dancing.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, G.R.; son, Kenneth; and three sisters.

Thelma is survived by her son and his wife, Johnny Mac and Nancy Moats of Chickasha; daughter-in-law, Joanna Moats of Enid; three grandchildren, Carey Lindsay Walter (Steve), Bandy Christine Melrose (Chris), and Carson Joseph Moats and fianc', Shelley Mueller; one great grandchild, Averie Melrose.
