Brenda Suzan (McKenzie) Kiselak

Brenda Suzan (McKenzie) Kiselak
October 14, 1964 ~ December 27, 2021

Brenda Suzan Kiselak, maiden name McKenzie, passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 57, after battling liver cancer. Brenda was originally born in Bartlesville, but moved to Broken Arrow during childhood. After graduating from Broken Arrow High School, she returned to Bartlesville, where she met the love of her life, John Kiselak Jr., and they were married for 26 years. They had one child together, a daughter named Sarah.

Brenda was an impossibly kind-hearted, hilarious, fierce, hard-working, and all around incredible person. She brightened every room she set foot in, and she made the world a better place simply by existing in it. There are not enough words in existence to describe how good of a person, wife, mother, and friend she was. The love, light, and kindness that she omitted touched countless lives, and she will be missed beyond words.

Brenda is survived by her husband, John Kiselak Jr.; daughter, Sarah Kiselak-Warren; son-in-law, Nicholas Warren; mother, Joan Brewer; father, Louis McKenzie; two sisters and one brother, Kelly Thornton, Janie Thornton, and Tony Thornton; and beloved dog, her “fur-baby” named Vinny.

The family wishes to thank the kind-hearted staff of the City of Bartlesville for donating vacation time to Brenda when her illness worsened, and for assistance with a meal train to ease the burden on the family in their time of need. Brenda frequently said that her only regret with working there was that she didn't start there sooner & get to know all of you wonderful people for longer.

An informal memorial service / visitation with family and friends will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home on Saturday the 8th of January at 11:00 AM. Brenda’s wishes were for all who knew her to celebrate her life with smiles, joy, and the sharing of memories.
