Ida Faye (Elliott) Kinnamon

Ida Faye (Elliott) Kinnamon
March 2, 1932 ~ February 1, 2024

Ida Faye Kinnamon was born on March 2, 1932, in a country farmhouse in Konawa, OK to John A. Elliott and Ruth Ida (Brinlee) Elliott. She passed away peacefully in Shawnee, OK on February 1, 2024, at the age of 91.

Ida Faye was a star guard on the girls' basketball team at Konawa High School. After graduation her family moved to Shawnee, OK in 1950.

Mrs. Kinnamon worked at Shawnee Milling Company for ten years and the City of Shawnee for another twenty years. After retiring from the city, she managed the Cinderella Hotel and worked for the local Wal Mart.

Ida Faye was an excellent seamstress creating beautiful quilts, crochet projects, and needlepoint.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Margie Jackson, Dorthy Elliott, Emma Stockton and Mary Kinnamon.

Faye is survived by her son, Jimmie Gilmore Kinnamon; former daughter-in-law, Barbara; grandchildren, Jessie Shackelford and Ross Kinnamon; great grandchildren, Liam, Serenity, Brianna, Chloe, Jasmine, Finnegan, Zelda and Taren; her sisters, Betty Sandusky and Dean Adams; brother, John Elliott, and many nephews and nieces.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Faye’s nephew, Russell Belshe officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
