Thelma L. Kinder

Oct. 22, 1909 ~ Feb. 3, 2002

DUMAS - Thelma L. Kinder, 92, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Wagoner, pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Kinder was born Oct. 22, 1909, in Tillman County, Okla. She was a homemaker. She married Ernest Kinder on June 19, 1929, in Hollister, Okla. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a Dumas resident from 1945 to 1966. She moved back to Dumas in 1982. She was an Amarillo resident for the past three years.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993; a grandson, Johnny Lynn Pool on May 5, 1983; and a granddaughter, Tamra Lynn Witt on Oct. 1, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Pool of Amarillo and Betty Beck of Dumas; a sister, Juanita Uzzell of Lufkin; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Integrated Health Services, 5601 Plum Creek Drive, Amarillo, TX 79124.

The family will be three miles southeast of Dumas.
