Memorial services to celebrate the lives of Doris May (Elmore) Kimmell and her sister-in-law Margaret Lou Kimmell will be Saturday April 30, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the Hardtner United Methodist Church.

Doris May Kimmell, 90, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away in her home February 13, 2016. Doris May was born in Hardtner, Kansas, to Velma (Achenbach) and Archie Elmore. She attended primary school in Hardtner, Kansas, and transferred to the Alva school district to attend junior high and graduated from Horace Mann High School in Alva, Oklahoma. She attended Northwestern State College.

Doris May Elmore married Robert Glen (Bob) Kimmell and together they had one son, Robert Mark Kimmell.

Doris May was a proud homemaker, supported Bob in his career, and was active in church, school, charitable and civic organizations in the many places they lived during their marriage spanning 50 years.

Beside her parents she was predeceased by her husband Bob, her brother Kenneth Elmore, brothers-in-law Charles Kimmell; A.T. Kimmell; sisters-in-law Vivian Barr; Doris Jeane Wiedman. Her sister-in-law Margaret Kimmell passed away one week after Doris May in February 2016.

Doris May is survived by her son, Mark Kimmell and his wife Deanna Kimmell of Roswell, Georgia; one sister-in-law Rose Elmore of Alva, Oklahoma as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that donations be made in Doris May's name to the Thelma Elmore Ruch Scholarship at: Northwestern Foundation, 709 Oklahoma Blvd., Alva, Oklahoma 73717.
