Peggy Louise (Edgar) Kerr
June 5, 1932 ~ December 23, 2019

Visitation for Peggy Louise Kerr, 87, of Thackerville was conducted Friday, December 27 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta.

Born June 5, 1932 at Carlsbad, New Mexico, the daughter of Roy and Nina Cain Edgar, she died Monday, December 23, 2019 in Medical City Denton Hospital, Denton, Texas.

Peggy attended Bell Gardens Grammar School in Bell Gardens, California. She graduated from J.C. Fremont High School Class of 1950 in Los Angeles. She continued her education at the Cooke County Nursing School in 1980. Peggy married Jackie Kerr on January 31, 1972 in Bowie, Texas and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1999.

She spent most of her life in Love County and was of the Church of Christ faith. She retired from the VA Center in Ardmore as an LPN.

Peggy was a kind and caring woman who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ron Lemke; two granddaughters, Amber Marie Welch and Natachia Welch Payne; and a great-grandson, Jonathan Monroe Hollar.

Survivors include her companion, Jim Welch of Thackerville; son, Steve Kerr and wife Tara of Thackerville; two daughters, Ann Hollar and husband John of Durant and Sandra Welch of Thackerville; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one, thought of as a son, Roy Bozeman and wife Terrie of Thackerville.
