Brandon "Don" Kerr, age 71 of Purcell, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

Don was born November 26, 1945 in Manchester, England. His parents were Roy Oliver Charles Kerr and Mary "Muriel" (Burg) Kerr. Don grew up in Manchester and then moved to Ipswich in the late 60's where he started a family. From his early days, was always interested in vehicles. Don opened a mechanic shop in 1980, It was in this shop, that Don met a man who eventually sponsored him to come to America. In the late 1980's, Don moved to the states, eventually settling in Lone Grove. Don later moved to the Purcell area and began working for Wilson's Volkswagens in Lexington. In October of 1999, he opened his own shop DKV south of Purcell. Don was an excellent mechanic who considered his customers his friends. He drew customers from Houston, TX all the way to Duluth, MN, and everywhere in between. Don's health began failing and he eventually retired in 2013. He was a delightful person who liked his own company but was a true friend to many. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His father and step-mother, Roy and Jean Kerr and His sister, Sharon Kim.

Don leaves behind: His son, Dan, His daughter, Chrissy, Granddaughter, Tasmin, all of Ipswich, England; His mother, Muriel in Alaska; Brothers, Don Wayne in Alaska and Kern in Florida; Sisters, Susan in Essex England;

A Celebration of Don�s Life is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell.
