Betty "Norene" (Ferguson) Kepford
March 25, 1942 ~ March 31, 2021

The memorial service for Betty "Norene" Kepford, 79-year-old Enid resident, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Norene was born March 25, 1942 in Seiling, Okla., to Calvin and Klonnie (Smith) Ferguson and died March 31, 2021, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

She graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1960. On May 28, 1961, she married Gary Kepford in Calvary Baptist Church. The couple made their home in Enid. Norene worked at Kinder Konnection at the First Baptist Church for over 20 years.

She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist, and over 70 years, she sat on many church committees. She was a Sunday school teacher and a cook for the church youth group at Camp Falls Creek. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and music, but most of her joy came from spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gary of the home; daughter, Susan Kepford of Oklahoma City; son, Chris Kepford of Manhattan, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Adam Carr, Jessica Prince and husband, Adam, Alex Hernandez and wife, Katie; three great-grandchildren, Logan Carr, Harrison Prince and Colin Prince, as well as extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; identical twin sister, Dorene; two brothers, Leo and Randall, and two brothers who died in infancy.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to Calvary Baptist Church; St. Jude Children's Hospital or Kinder Konnection.
