David Wayne Kelly
July 19, 1951 ~ April 17, 2015

David Wayne Kelly, Lifelong resident of Ponca City, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at Shawn Manor Nursing Home. He was 63 years of age.

David was born July 19, 1951 in Ponca City, the son of Dewey Wayne Kelly and Genevieve Ione (Poulter) Kelly. He attended the Ponca City Schools and was a Po-Hi graduate. He then attended Okmulgee Vo-tech and graduated with a degree in Diesel Mechanics.

On Dec 20, 1996 he was married to Brenda Cile Jones in Ponca City where they continued to make their home.

David was a simple man and a hardworking farmer. He enjoyed going to farm shows and farm auctions. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Rymington "Cricket" Rutledge.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda and two daughters; daughter Beth Kelly, and her fiance Dallas Myers, her daughter, Rymington Rutledge; her two step-children, Brogan Myers and Brylee Myers; and his daughter Kimmy Kelly ; three brothers, Dennis Kelly, Glenn Kelly, Darrell Kelly; two sisters, Nancy Mooney and Barbara Spears.; many nieces and nephews, Michael, Chrystal, Heather, Shawn, Yvonne, Christie, Travis, Jerad, Layne, Lacey, Branden, Justin, Candace, Taylor, Lauren and 22 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Faith Tabernacle Church, 501 S. 5th Street, Ponca City, with Pastor Don Stanton officiating.

Casket bearers will be his nephews, Branden Spears, Justin Spears, Travis Kelly, Jerad Kelly, Michael Kelly and Shawn Kelly. Honorary Casket bearers will be Roy Rork, Terry Watson and Patrick Carnes. The family also wanted mentioned as honorary casket bearers, his very dear deceased friends, Rick Tautfest, Deloy Towne and Olen Sisco, whom he dearly missed.

The family has requested, "Casual Farmer Attire" for the funeral services. In lieu of flowers a memorial education fund has been established for David's granddaughter Rymington Rutledge, in care of RCB Bank, 14th and Highland, Ponca City, OK 74602, attention: Donna Beard.
