A Memorial Service for Elsie Darlene Keeton will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gordon Jantz officiating.

Cremation arrangements and services are under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service for Elsie Darlene Keeton will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gordon Jantz officiating. Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Darlene was born November 19, 1937 in Sunray, Texas to Homer and Edith (Hager) Hataway and passed away July 19, 2022. Darlene grew up in Sunray, Texas with six siblings. After her schooling she married and raised her family. She moved with the family to several places like Amarillo, TX, Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene, ID, finally settling in Texas. Darlene was a devoted Mom and she sewed many items for her children. Later in life, while residing in Spearman, TX she was an award- winning painter. Darlene relocated to Enid, and worked as an RN in Home Health till her retirement in the late 1990’s. On October 9, 2002, she married Buster Keeton in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They made their home in Enid and enjoyed gardening and volunteering together at St. Mary’s and for AMBUCS.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 20 years, Buster Keeton; children, Terri Farris, Evette Layton and husband Bryant and Darl Farris and wife Sally; stepchildren, Kim Pettit and husband Danny, Kevin Keeton, Anita Luetkemeyer and husband Mark, Mona Perkins and husband Matt and Kimberly Keeton. She is also survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; siblings, Coleen Seright, Marlene Irwin and Donnie Hataway; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harold Hataway, Joe Hataway and Jim Hataway.

Memorial donations may be made to Valir Hospice with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
