Thank You For Your Service!

Wesley L. Keeney

Nov. 27, 1936 ~ Jan. 30, 2006

Services will be held today, Tuesday, February 7th, at 1:00 p.m., at Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester, in Oildale.

Wesley L. Keeney completed his earthly journey on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006. He is now on his heavenly journey that will give him great peace and much love. His family and friends knew Wesley by "Pete."

He was born November 27, 1936 in Antler, OK.

His mother and father, the late Bessie and Leo Keeney, preceded him in death, as well as his brother Toby Keeney.

Pete was a veteran of the Korean War and served his country in the Air Force.

His loving children, Ramona Keeney Williams (spouse Ken) and Stacey Keeney Smith (spouse Rick), survive Pete. In addition, 2 sisters, Jewel Douglas and Wanda Carter, and 2 brothers, Lawrence and Kenneth Kenney, survive him.

He was loved very much by his daughters and two grandchildren, Ambra and Kenny Williams were very special to Pete. He loved them very much and looked forward to seeing them as often as he could.

Pete's family moved to the Shafter, California area from OK in 1938. He attended local schools and his family moved to the Fresno area in the 1950s.

After serving in the Air Force, he worked in the construction business until his retirement.

He was a humble man who came from humble beginnings. His riches are now more than he could imagine.

God Bless you Pete, we all are going to miss you, and look forward to our heavenly reunion.
