Billy Joe Keeler
April 23, 1976 ~ January 12, 2019

Billy Joe Keeler, age 42 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. Billy Joe Keeler was born April 23, 1976 in Oklahoma City to William Josh Keeler III and Diana Lynn Matthews. He was raised in Lexington and attended Lexington Schools, graduating with the Class of 1995.

Billy earned his HVAC Certification and worked for City Plumbing in Norman for a time. He then completed C.L.E.E.T. Certification at Eastern Oklahoma College and worked correction for the LARC in Lexington, and later as a Reserve for the Lexington Police Department.

On July 23, 1999, Billy followed his heart and married his best friend and life partner, Tara Elizabeth Miller. Together they raised 4 children, sons, Josh, Matthew and Isaac and daughter, Kaitlyn. Billy later began working in the oil field, working his way through the ranks and worked in a variety of roles throughout the years. When not working, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved motorcycles and was a member of the Faith Riders and was always up for a road trip to anywhere. Billy was a gambler and enjoyed a night every now and then at the casino. But he never gambled on his soul, and he leaned mightily on his faith in Christ. Billy cherished Tara and his kids and remained active in all of their various activities and sporting events. Billy loved his many friends, and remained a positive influence, even when facing his illness. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by:
His daughter, Angela Keeler and Grandmother, Dorothy Autry.

Billy is survived by:
His wife, Tara and his children, Josh, Matthew, Issac and Kaitlyn, All of the home;
Mother, Diana Gonzalez of Okla. City;
Father, Bill Keeler and wife Loretha of Lexington;
Siblings, Vernon Murphy, Nicholas, Murphy, Juan Rodriguez, Rocky Gonzalez, Josh Keeler, Juana Gonzalez and Victoria Gonzalez;
Grandparents, William Joshua "JR" Keeler and Gwen Keeler;
and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Maguire Baptist Church, Noble.
