Garth was born in Nocana, TX, but grew up in Woodward, OK. Arriving in Vietnam he was assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. Garth was killed when a booby-trap grenade was tripped during a combat patrol.

Survived by his parents; Garth Wayne & Billie J Keck Sr of Woodward, OK.
