Cynthia Deann Kear

Cynthia Deann Kear
September 19, 1963 ~ April 28, 2019

Cynthia Deann Kear passed to her home in heaven and into the loving arms of her Daddy on April 28, 2019. She was 55 years old. Cindy was born on September 19, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas to James and Patty Kay (LeCrone) Kear. She spent her school years in Texas and Oklahoma. As a young child, Cindy learned to love the Lord, accepted Jesus as her Savior, and was baptized as a believer. In 1984 she married and later gave birth to two children.

Cindy was a very generous and loving person who always made time to listen to those who needed to talk and often offered sage advice. She spent many years in service to the Lord in various churches, working as a church secretary, ministering in special music, outreach, and prayer ministry. She was a founding member of Friendship Baptist Church in Ponca City, and attended First Christian Church of Helena at the time of her passing. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Merrifield Office Supply.

She was a loving mother, raising two children, Matthew and Lisa, as a single parent, earning the accolades of the proverbial virtuous woman, “Her children arise up and call her blessed.” (Proverbs 31:28) When Cindy made friends, she made them for life and was always willing to go the extra mile.

Cindy is survived by her children, Matthew (Cori) Chapmond, Tulsa, and Lisa Chapmond, Helena; two grandsons, Gavin James and Westley Michael, Tulsa (and another soon to arrive, Liam); her mother, Patty K. Ross, Helena; two brothers, Michael (TJ) Kear, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and David (Sonya) Kear, St. Louis, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews, and a plethora of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Jim Kear, and her grandparents.

Cindy’s greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed going to the casino, vacationing in the Ozarks, collecting stuffed animals, drinking coffee, and cooking for family and friends. She will be loved and missed always.

A memorial service for Cindy will be Friday, May 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Helena with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
