Services for Margaret Kapchinsky will be held Monday, March 22, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Northland Assembly of God Church, 3311 Manor Dr., Oildale.

Originally from Caddo, Oklahoma, she and her husband, Henry, who preceded her in death in 1986, moved to California in 1944. Settling first in East Bakersfield and later in North Kern oil fields, they were longtime residents of Oildale.

This devoted follower of Christ and her loving spirit will be greatly missed. She was a Sunday School teacher and Bible class teacher who made a positive impact on numerous lives. She was also active in Women's Mission Council and a volunteer at Memorial Hospital. She worked in retail sales and as a food service worker at Northland School and Standard School.

Margaret was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Patricia Dimberg and husband, Lauren of Bakersfield; son, Larry Kapchinsky and wife, Janice of Alta Loma; grandsons, Mike Manning, Jason Dimberg and Joshua Kapchinsky and granddaughter, Alexandra Kapchinsky; 6 great grandchildren and one brother, Drew Crites of Oregon, and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by numerous friends who shared so richly in her life.

Viewing will be Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Alzheimer's ward at the Shafter Convalescent Hospital for the genuine loving care given to Margaret during her stay there.

Services will be conducted by her son, Dr. Larry Kapchinsky of Granite Creek Church, Claremont, CA.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Kid Kare International, 1580 Claremont Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711.
