Faye Ruth (Wilson) Joslin

May 5, 1929 ~ Feb. 3, 2004

Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., on Saturday, February 7, at 9:00 a.m., for Faye Ruth Joslin, 74. Frankie Barncato and Deryl Brewer will officiate.

Faye Ruth Wilson was born May 5, 1929, in Oklahoma. Her parents were Marion and Ruth Wilson. She was one of twelve children and is survived by brothers, Hershel and Don Wilson and sister, Jean Punt.

Faye married Ruel Joslin in March of 1945 and soon after moved to California. The couple raised four daughters, Norma Joslin, Charlene Walker, Shirley Park and Linda Denner. Her husband, Ruel and oldest daughter, Norma, preceded Faye in death. Faye is also survived by sons-in-law, Ron Walker and Joel Parker of Bakersfield, California and Russell Denner of Houston, Texas. She further leaves four grandsons, one granddaughter and six great grandchildren, numerous in-laws and many friends.

Faye will be remembered for her role as a mother and housewife and as a great fisher woman. As Ruel use to say, if you got a group of the Joslin family together to tell fish stories, the best ones were about Faye . . . and for the most part they were true!

The surviving daughters would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have assisted Faye in her last days; especially Marguerette Burton and all the staff at Oakdale Heights Memory House. They would also like to express their thanks to Hoffmann Hospice for the extreme kindness and professionalism shown Faye.

No visitation is scheduled.
