Tamara K. (Lewis) Jones
February 16, 1953 ~ April 18, 2015

Tamara was born February 16, 1953 to the proud parents of Charlie and Bessie Lewis in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the third of six children.

She accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Tamara attended high school in Memphis, Tennessee where she graduated in 1970.

After graduation she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked for Wolfe Envelope Company for many years. In 1978, Tamara moved to Lawton, Oklahoma where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree of Science from Cameron University.

In Lawton she met the love of her life, Larry Jones. They were married and to this union a son was born, Rafael Jones.

Tamara was a member of the Eastern Star organization. She loved socializing with her family and friends. She worked for many years with The Lawton City Schools as a teacher's aide and volunteered for the Special Olympics until she became disabled.

Tamara quietly departed life on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Willow Park nursing home.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Bessie Lewis, her sister Shirley Nicholson and her brother Roy Lewis.

She leaves to mourn her passing, a sister Una (Johnny) Farris of Columbus, Georgia, two brothers; Larry Lewis of Jacksonville, Florida, Andra (Ninette) Lewis of Daytona Beach, Florida, a daughter Una Burrell of Willowick, Ohio, a son Rafael (Diana) Jones, two grandchildren Makayla and Rashod of Lawton, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
