Sandra Jo (Strickland) Jones
December 24, 1950 ~ June 21, 2019

Sandra Jo Jones of Durant passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 in Denison, TX at the age of 68. She was born December 24, 1950 in Wynnewood, OK to Henry J. Strickland and Dicie Willie (Martin) Strickland. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School, East Central University, and Oklahoma Missionary Baptist College. Sandra married Curtis Jones on September 26, 1969 in Springer, OK. They came to Durant from Frederick, OK in 2013. She is a member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church where she was the pastor’s wife. Sandra enjoyed cooking, interior and floral design, and taking care of everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Dicie Strickland, brother Jay Strickland, and sister Bessie Hatman.

Sandra is survived by her husband Curtis of the home, two daughters Jo Ann Crouch and husband Brad of Madill, Amy Potts and husband Steven of Noble, OK, two sisters Mona Wright and husband H.D. of Pauls Valley, OK, and Connie Bowman of Pauls Valley, OK. 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Durant with pastor Curtis Jones officiating.
