Morgan Locke Jones

Mr. Morgan Locke Jones, 73, of Bartlesville, died at 9:43 P.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Bartlesville.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2014 in the First Baptist Church with Pastors Tom Cox and James Biesiadecki officiating. Memorial services and cremation arrangements will be conducted by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Mr. Jones may do so to: First Baptist Church PO Box 1080 Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74005.

Morgan Locke Jones was born October 14, 1940 at Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Winford Morgan and Betty (Locke) Jones. He was raised and received his education in various cities in the U.S and Canada. He attended the Oklahoma State University where he received a Bachelors' Degree in Industrial Engineering.

Mr. Jones was married to Barbara Jean McCullough on August 30, 1963 at Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma and after Mr. Jones graduation he began a career with AMACO Oil Company and worked in Brownfield, Texas, Bedford, Texas and Trinidad. He began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company in 1973 and worked in England, Norway, Denver, Colorado, Borger, Texas, Houston, Texas and Bartlesville, Oklahoma at his retirement Mr. Jones was the World Wide Drilling Manager for Phillips Petroleum Company. Mr. Jones was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville and after retirement worked as a consultant for OGCI in Tulsa.

Survivors include; his wife Barbara Jean Jones of the family home in Bartlesville; two sons Mark Reyburn Jones of Morrison, Colorado and Chad Morgan Jones and his wife Leslie of Bakersfield, California; one brother James C. Jones of Oregon and one grandchild Emily Morgan Jones.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Douglas Jones and Donnie Jones. Friends who wish may sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org.
