Michael Barrett Jones
March 16, 1947 ~ September 23, 2021

Michael Barrett Jones was born March 16, 1947, at Blackwell, Oklahoma to James C. Jones and Reola Lockhart Jones and passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the age of 74.

He was a resident of the Okeene community for 43 years, where he was an art teacher at Okeene Public Schools. He attended Blackwell High School in 1965, and then went on to Central State University in 1969. Michael was a member of the First Christian Church of Okeene, Greater Enid Bowling Association, and the Oklahoma Education Association. He married Judy K. Fox at Tonkawa, Oklahoma on August 19, 1969.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James C., and Reola U. Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home in Okeene, Oklahoma.

One daughter……….. Heather Jones Harrison of Vinita, Oklahoma.

One son……………..…. Christian Jones of Norman, Oklahoma.

One brother………….. Dennis Jones of Decatur, Illinois.

One sister……………… Jimmye Miller of Enid, Oklahoma.

Three grandchildren…….. Gavin Harrison, Jacob Harrison, and Adelyn Jones.

As well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Michael Barrett Jones will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at the Okeene High School Auditorium with Paster Bennett Peters officiating, and Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Okeene Library or the American Cancer Society.
