Daniel Patrick Jones
November 9, 1981 ~ July 30, 2012

Daniel Patrick Jones was born on November 9, 1981 in Easton, Maryland to Thomas Jr. and Mary [Warner] Jones. He died on July 30, 2012 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 30. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Pastor Bubba Clark, officiating.

Daniel was raised and attended school in Maryland and California. He enlisted in the US Navy after graduation and served 6 years prior to entering the US Army in 2006. Daniel spent 15 months in Iraq and received numerous decorations while in the military. Awards included Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, two Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, two Army Good Conduct Medals, US Navy Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, two US Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, and the NATO Medal.

He married Amber Auld in 2007 and was discharged from the Army in March of this year.

Daniel was an Maryland Ravens and Oklahoma Thunder fan; enjoyed playing video games and fishing (though he claimed to spend more time hung up on rocks than catching fish), and always looked forward to spending time with his daughter Raven.

Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ernest Warner, and his paternal grandparents, Thomas Sr. and Anna Jones.

Survivors include his wife Amber of Duncan; daughters, Raven in Maryland and Isabella in Maine; his parents, Mary Rishel in California and Thomas Jones Jr. in Maryland; sisters, Beth Green and husband Richard, and Karen Lankford, both of Maryland; his maternal grandmother, Mary Warner in California, and many aunts, uncles, cousins extended family members and friends.
