Dale Rhea Johnston

Dale Rhea Johnston passed from this life on August 12, 2016. Dale was born July 8, 1933 in McLean, Texas to William Elton and Maggie Ruth Johnston.

Dale graduated from McLean High School, McLean, Texas in 1950. He enjoyed working with leather, handtooling Bible covers and name plates. He married Marilyn Watson in 1977 and they remained in Houston and worked in the residential and commercial plumbing industry. In 1979 they moved to San Angelo, Texas and remained there until their retirement in 2013 when they moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma to make their home.

Dale is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother, Fred Johnston and one son, Timmy Lee Johnston.

He is survived by his 8 children, Jack Johnston and wife, Tammy, McLean, TX, Mike Johnston and wife, Mardena, San Angelo, TX, Cindy Lou Johnston, Lynch, WY, Kelly Stromski and husband, Randy, Orland Park, IL, Chris Riggs and husband, Jim, Sedgwick, KS, Eddie Wayne Watson, Cheyenne, OK, Billy Watson and wife, Betty, Poteet, TX; 18 grandchildren, Jason Johnston, Michael Went, Dewona Lynn Watson, Jeremy Johnston, Brandi Johnston, Matt Woods, Randi Raye Ashford, Curtis Van Stromski, Holly Ann Barr, Macalee Mills, Mandee Labonty, Levi Johnston, Angela Watson, Dakota Johnston, Adam Johnston, Dale Taylor, Jessie Garrison and Nichole Valerie Scott; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, William Elton Johnston, Jr. and wife, Helen, San Angelo, TX; 2 sisters, Bettye West and husband, Jack, Groom, TX and Martha Barker, Shamrock, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
