Evelyne Elaine Johnson
November 16, 1954 ~ June 25, 2023

Evelyne Elaine Johnson was born November 16, 1954, at Bobigny, France, to Robert Lefevre and Violet Jeane Thompson, and passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the age of 68.

Evelyne was a member of the Watonga community since 2013, when they moved here so that she could open the new Dollar General as store manager. She was also a truck driver for Stephen’s Trucking for several years. Evelyne, or E.J., as many knew her, enjoyed going to the casino to spend her free time, but the time she was able to spend with her grandkids was always the most special to her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Violet Jeane Thompson, and one sister, Patricia Cornin.

She is survived by her life partner of 20 years, Jesus “Ben” Benitez, of the home in Watonga.

One son……………………….. Joseph Lefevre of Michigan.

One daughter………………. Kristina Johnson of Oklahoma City.

One brother………………… Roland Lefevre of Leesville, Louisiana.

Two sisters…………………... Jeanine Ketty Harris of Leesville, Louisiana and Anita Matthews of San Antonio, Texas.

Father………………………….. Joseph Thompson of Killeen, Texas.

Eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be Friday, July 7, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Assembly of God Church in Watonga, OK with Pastor Doug Jackson officiating.
