Brian Udell Johnson, 63, Harrah, OK passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 after a sudden heart attack.

Brian was born Sept. 28, 1953 at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX. Since he was the member of an Air Force family, he traveled and moved a lot. During his early years, he attended schools in Oklahoma, Michigan, Louisiana, France and Spain. When his dad was transferred from Korea to Oklahoma, grandparents Walt & Leona Farrand invited him to live with them so he could graduate with his class. He was forever grateful to them for allowing him to graduate in 1971 from Colon High School in Colon, MI.

After graduation Brian pursued his interest in psychology, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. During this time, 1975-1980, he and Susan Hensley were married and lived in Norman.

Brian was currently serving as a Licensed Mental Health Professional at the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance abuse Services in Norman, OK. During his professional career he also served as: former Administrator for Oklahoma Department of Corrections; former Administrator of Programs at Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs; Former Executive Director of Green Country Big Brothers and Sisters in Tulsa, OK.

Brian was a life-long avid reader and sports fan. His family remembers him always having a funny story or good joke to tell. He was also a great cook and especially enjoyed cooking out for family and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by Grandparents Walt & Leona Farrand and Sid & Mamie Johnson: parents Ralph & Miriam Johnson; brother-in-law Gary L. Miller.

Brian is survived by his uncle Jim Farrand and wife Kathleen (Coldwater, MI); aunt Judy Farrand (Sturgis, MI); sisters Vicki Miller (Moore, OK) and Kimberly Cornet and husband Jimmy (Norman, OK); brother Walter Johnson (Juneau, AK). He also leaves behind his niece Samantha Wattles and nephews Ford Wattles, Bryce Cornet, and Tyler and Khayl Johnson, as well as many other cousins, family and friends around the country.

Per Brian's wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Disposition of ashes will take place during a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Brian's memory and profession close to his heart: Transition House 700 Asp Ave. #2, Norman, OK 73069.
