Michael Jennings

Michael Jennings, 48, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Happy Cemetery in Happy with Jack Cox of Highland Christian Church and Everett Stevens officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.

Mr. Jennings married Gwen Houk on March 28, 1979, in Amarillo. He sold auto parts all his life. On Tuesday, he was called home by his heavenly father.

He was a loving husband and father. He will be missed. He was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kendall Jennings.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Carmen Jennings of Dallas, Casey Jennings and Lindsey Jennings, both of Amarillo, and Aubrey Woodward of Silt, Colo.; his mother, Bernice Jennings of Norman, Okla.; two sisters, Ellwyn Sorrell of Moore, Okla., and Jerry Jones of St. Louis; a brother, Bert Jennings of Norman; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
